The RSPCA is urging the government to stop British taxpayers' money being used to help fund the cruel trade in live cattle transport from Europe to the Middle East and North Africa.The European Parliament voted today to stop paying subsidies to traders who ship 300,000 cattle to non-EU states each year. But the final decision now lies with the EU Agricultural Ministers, including DEFRA's Margaret Beckett.
